Cameo writing

I stroll through the lost, lonely cave, with nothing but sorrow in the air. Darkness filled the chilly breeze as it hits my delicate face.

My first step, I feel the freezing cold water, as if it is water coming from Antarctica.

                                                                                                                               Whalin Karaka

The glaciating water oozes through my legs. Suddenly I feel rough bumps all over my body. I look up and I see colossal formations everywhere. The frozen water dripped down onto my beautiful face.                                                                                          Jessica Hona

A slight breeze wafts past my beautiful face, as I enter Waitomo Caves. It gets colder and colder as we enter the deep dark mysterious cave.

Tiny glimpses of little, greenish, blue lights caught my eye. A large curtain shining with shimmering lights, like stars in the night sky.

I felt like I was in outer space with the never-ending stars. It was just unbelievable!

                                                                                                                 Wiremu Moeke-Hikawera

As I walked through the pitch-black, frigid cave, it felt like I was tramping through space, staring at the luminous, tiny insects.                                                                         Reo Beckett

Entering the humongous cavern, I feel the wintery breeze surrounding me.

Above me the gigantic stalactites cling patiently to the roof of the cave. They hang majestically amongst me, pointing to the floor, as the drips wait to fall.

I fight against the powerful water, the sand tightly clings to my feet, as I enter the deep parts of the clear, calm water.                                                                          Nina Fitzgerald
