“The Ultimate Frisbee Tournament in Gisborne last Friday, was challenging because other teams were really experienced. They came from Te Puke, Tauranga, Rotorua and some other schools. We played about 7 games. They were exciting and fun. We won one game against Gisborne. There’s ten people in a team both boys and girls. For me, the highlight of the day was our win. I won a medal for the Most Valuable Player in the Whakatane team and I was proud to get it. We had quite a long day but it was good. Matua Melbourne drove us in the school van and we were home by 5pm. It was a good experience and I am glad I went.”
