Whakatane District Youth Council
Youth Council is a group of young people aged 12 to 24 who provide a youth perspective to what the local adult Whakatane district Council want to do. The Youth Council is a mixture of students of different ethnicity, age, gender, experience and from various geographical locations. Whakatane Intermediate is proud to have three students representing our school.
The impressive bunch meets monthly to discuss issues, work on youth projects and gain valuable skills for life.
There are 8 meetings to attend, one every month held at the Whakatane council and go from 4 to 6pm.
